We had a wonderful Thanksgiving. This year we invited my mom and dad, my Grandma C., my sister Debbie and her husband Dennis and Shantel and Jayden. Tyson and Amanda came later and ate pie with us. We had lots of yummy food and pie. This year we cooked a turkey in the oven(it was done an hour and a half early) and Tony smoked a turkey, that got done an hour and a half after we ate. We didn't eat very much of the smoked turkey because everyone was so full by the time it was done. We had alot of turkey left over. Which was great, I love leftover turkey. After we ate we visited and played games. I love this time of year, it makes me stop and think of all the things I am thankful for.

The Festival of Trees

Last Tuesday night our family went to the Festival of Trees. It was so fun to see Tiffany and her family. Her boys are getting so big. The last time we saw them was before Halloween and I think they have both grown an inch or two since then. Jayden and Jerick were so excited to see each other. We all miss them so much and wish they didn't live so far away. Tony got bored about halfway through and so we practically ran through the rest. I love seeing my kids and grandkids and spending time doing things like this with them.

This is Tony and Jerick on Aleenas birthday. Jerick was only one month old. Sorry there are two pictures, I am still learning how to post pictures.
I got picture tagged by my daughter-in-law Amanda. I couldn't do fourth folder, fourth picture because it was of Tiffany in hard labor with Jerick. She would have hated me to post that picture. So here is fifth folder, fourth picture. This was from January 2006. Trevor had just had his tonsils and adnoids taken out and was resting and playing video games.
Can you believe my baby is 11 years old. On November 21, 1997 we were blessed with a beautiful baby boy! We thought we were done having kids and was very surprised when we found out I was pregnant. Of course the kids were thrilled because they had been begging for a baby. It happened that we announced it to the kids on April Fools Day. Not on purpose. The kids thought we were so mean when we told them. They thought it was an April fools joke. It took a while to convince them that we really were having a baby. Tyson and Tony were thrilled when we found out it was a boy. Tony always told me he thought there was a boy that needed to come to our family. I was stubborn and told him it would have to be with his next wife because I was done having kids. I am so glad that someone else knew what was best for our family and sent Trevor to us. I have always called him our bonus baby because he has brought so much joy to our lives. We all love him so much.
On Thursday we went to our last cub scout pack meeting. Trevor has worked very hard and earned alot of awards including his religious knot and his Arrow of Light. A guy dressed up as an indian did a special presentation and Trevor was presented to the New Scouts. I know it will only be a few years until he earns his eagle scout award. He is very good at setting and reaching his goals. We are so proud of him!

We are the champions!!! Roberts team took first place and went undefeated for the entire season. We froze at the championship game Tuesday night. Luckily the game finished before it started snowing. They made a really big deal of this game. They called it the super bowl. It had commentary and fun music and best of all...hot chocolate! Roberts team beat Juan Diego at Pleasant Grove High School. They have a really nice artificial turf field. Yay! this means football is over!!! Well, until next year.

I got tagged and have had a hard time thinking of 7 things that nobody else knows about me. So here goes...
1. I love to cook. Especially desserts and treats. I just hate the planning, the shopping and the clean up. I am so glad that I still have kids at home to do the dinner dishes.
2. Last year I took piano lessons. A sweet lady in our ward, that has taught lessons for years, taught a group of 4 women from my ward. She taught us with the program the church puts out. I can play all the hymns from the Hymns Made Easy book, some better than others. My family is probably getting tired of hearing me practice the same songs over and over again...that is when I find time to practice.
3. I hate to get my face wet. I even hate the shower running over my face. I like to swim, as long as my head stays above the water. I remember when I was little and took swimming lessons, I was scared to death of jumping off the diving board. I stood on the diving board and cried because I was so scared. Probably because that meant my face would get wet. I think I have had this fear since I was young.
4. I like my toenails to be painted. You will never see them not painted. Aleena gave me the stuff to do a french pedicure for my birthday and has been painting them for me. She does an awesome french pedicure. Thanks Aleena!
5. I HATE winter. I like to look outside and see the snow, but I hate to be outside in it. By February I am pretty depressed and ready to move somewhere where it is warm all year. I love the sun and the heat. Summer just isn't long enough.
6. I love to drink water. The colder the better. Especially if it has been in the freezer for an hour or two and has a little ice in it. I prefer water over soda pop, juice, milk(actually, I hate milk) or any other kind of drink.
7. I have a fear of being in front of people or being the center of attention. I actually get physically ill if I know I have to speak in front of people. I also sit back and wait for people to approach me and then I will talk to them. I don't usually initiate the conversation. I also have a hard time knowing what to say. I know my dad and my sister struggle with this too. Maybe it runs in our family. Anyway I hope my kids take after Tony. He can talk to anyone, anywhere about anything.
Boy am I glad to be finished with this it has weighed heavily on my mind. I hope you learn some things that you didn't know about me. Everyone I know has been tagged already and so this will probably end with me...sorry!
